Basically, we are at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and great customer service, and we have an opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join our team to help manage all accounting and financial activities of the business.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls and executing a variety of accounting and financial activities.
Specifically:
Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, payroll, and budgets.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes.
Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly, and setting up new accounts.
Safeguard company assets (fixed assets, inventory, cash) and corporate records.
Prepare forecasts and monthly financial statements to include preparation of monthly balance sheet, income statement, reports on changes in financial position/budget variances.
Ensure timely regulatory reporting and broadband grant submissions.
Work closely with our accounting package vendor to optimize performance, manage system upgrades and enhancements, and keep staff informed of changes.
Perform yearly budget preparation, asset management, physical inventory coordination.
Portray honesty, integrity, and dedication to our customer-centric mission.
The ideal candidates possess strong corporate accounting expertise, solid accounting skills, proficiency with various accounting packages and the vision to anticipate problems, and identify solutions governed by impeccable integrity.
Preference may be provided to those with a bachelor's in accounting, CPA designation, and a sense of humor.
