Work with a diverse and driven team as a West Liberty Foods 1st shift Production Supervisor. Be a part of the front line team that will give you the opportunity to train and engage across all departments. Lead your team to ensure shipment and storage of product in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines and ensuring a safe, healthy and productive environment. As the Shipping Supervisor you will have the opportunity to oversee a skilled team within a results oriented department that ensures a positive impact on the bottom line. As a supervisor you will also have the opportunity to interview new talent, review current team members and trouble shoot department needs. What can I bring to the team? _- Shipping Supervisor:_
Be a team player and work across and with all operations and sales departments, as well as outside cold storages and carriers to ensure quality customer service.
Your results oriented mindset to ensure safe, efficient and cost effective storage and shipment of product.
Your attention to detail and ability to be thorough in completing work tasks.
Your persistence and honest work ethic.
Your ability to spot potential problems and take corrective action as needed.
What experience should I have? _- Shipping Supervisor:_
Ability to read, write, speak, hear and understand English in order to effectively communicate with team members, vendors, and customers.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Associate''s degree (A. A.) or six months to two years related experience and/or training or combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform record keeping and mathematics necessary for employment purposes.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.
Must be knowledgeable in MOS (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Knowledge of HRIS/Payroll systems such as Kronos is preferred.

Must be compassionate but yet be capable of upholding all safety and work rules, policies, and procedures.
Must be able to work extended hours according to production schedule.
Must actively strive to meet or exceed company goals and standards.

Must be able to work in an environment that varies in temperatures.
