Tier 1 Service Desk

Tier 1 Service Desk position is responsible for providing first level support to West Liberty Foods users as well as basic level two support for the Mount Pleasant, Iowa facility.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Create new users and complete their access setup.
  • Make necessary changes to users as needed.
  • Troubleshoot help desk tickets by using knowledge base.
  • Complete and close help desk tickets in a timely fashion.
  • Assign tickets to other IT members as needed.
  • Provide technical support for network, PCs and printers, and other IT hardware and software.
  • Recording and maintaining inventory of hardware and software.
  • Remove users as needed.
  • Provide training, service and support to both local and remote locations as needed.
  • Interaction with all internal departments, consultants, and outside support staff and material vendors.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects.

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a multiple server environment using Active Directory structures is preferred.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience working with Google and Office platforms.
  • Experience working with Windows 7 or higher.
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other timekeeping system is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Customer focused approach to projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
